Rapid Prototyping & Custom Prototype Parts
Develop prototype parts with CNC machining, 3D printing and vacuum casting. Send CAD files and the purpose of your prototype for process review.
Start with the question your prototype must answer
A visual model, fit-check part and functional prototype may need different materials and processes. Tell us whether appearance, assembly clearance, loading, temperature or an end-use test matters most.
Choose a route for your next iteration
CNC machining can suit parts that need a specified engineering material and machined features. 3D printing can suit complex shapes and frequent design changes. Vacuum casting can be considered when several similar plastic parts are needed. We review the design before confirming a route.
What to include in your prototype RFQ
Send the CAD revision, drawing, material preference, quantity and test requirements. Mark mating surfaces and critical dimensions. Include an intended delivery date as a requirement to review, rather than assuming a standard lead time.
