CAD Upload & Manufacturing RFQ Checklist
Prepare STEP, STL and technical drawings for a custom manufacturing quotation, including quantities, material and critical requirements.
Files and revisions
Send one clearly identified CAD revision. STEP is useful for sharing solid geometry; STL describes a mesh and does not carry the same design information. Add a drawing when dimensions, threads or inspection requirements cannot be inferred from geometry.
The RFQ package
Include part name, quantity, preferred process, material and finish. Mark critical features and tell us the intended use. For multiple related files, use an archive and make the file names consistent with the drawing revisions.
Upload and confirmation
The guest RFQ accepts the supported CAD, drawing and archive formats shown on the upload form, with a 50 MB file limit. Supply email or WhatsApp so the team can contact you. A successful submission displays an RFQ reference; retain it when following up.
If a submission fails
Keep your original file and check the error message. Correct missing fields or file limits before retrying. If no RFQ reference appears, do not assume the request was received; contact LiMake with the details.
